How the rolls are generated

Each roll uses your browser's built-in random number generator to pick a value from 1 up to the number of sides you choose, independently for every die in the roll. It's suitable for games and casual use, but like any software-based randomness, it isn't a cryptographically certified random source — for anything requiring provable fairness, like real-money gambling, you'd want a certified RNG instead.
